KRIV Volunteer and Training Programme

The KRIV Volunteer and Training Programme is designed for everyone with an interest in the environment. The training courses are nationally accredited, offering a practical and hands on approach to learning new skills. The volunteer task days are for people who would like to help preserve and retain part of the rich heritage found in the local landscape.

If you would like to learn a new skill or are someone who is looking for a new career, one of these courses may be ideal for you. For those with an interest in the environment and conservation the courses will offer a great opportunity to enhance your knowledge.

All the training courses and volunteer days are delivered by BTCV, the UK's largest practical conservation charity. BTCV is a specialist in helping people to improve and conserve their environment.

As a result of substantial funding for the project, most of the training courses are offered free of charge for Macclesfield Borough and High Peak Borough residents. For those outside these boroughs the KRIV project is able to offer a reduced rate for each course at £25 per course per person.

The volunteer days are free of charge and open to everyone.

For more details ring Nick Martin on 01625 560475

Booking is essential on training courses as places are limited. If you have booked and are then unable to attend, please contact Nick to cancel your place. This will enable someone else to take your place.

All tasks and training start at 9.40am at the specified meeting point. Please be early to allow a prompt start to the day.
