web accessibility
This web site has been designed to comply as closely as possible with the recommendations for web accessibility. That means that if you use special software to help you read web pages, this site should work smoothly, and you should be able to access all of the content without difficulty. Here are some of the features that will help you navigate the site:
Access keys
If you prefer to use the keyboard rather than a mouse and you are using a compatible browser, you can visit certain parts of the site directly by using keyboard shortcuts. If you use Windows, hold down the Alt key and press the relevant number (if you are using Internet Explorer, you then need to press Return); on a Macintosh, hold down Ctrl and press the number:
1) Home page
2)
Main content on the current page
3)
Navigation links on the current page
9) The Contact Us page
Hidden links for screen readers
If you use a screen reader to read the content of web pages to you, there are invisible links which should be announced by your reading software. These are at the top of the page, letting you skip past the list of navigation links straight to the main page content, and at the bottom, letting you skip back to the navigation. If you are a sighted user and use the tab key to move between links, you may see these outlined as small squares at the top and bottom of the navigation column.
Resizable text
Apart from the page headings, the text on this site will take on the size you have specified in your browser settings. You can also enlarge or reduce the text size at any time using your browser controls.
